Ridipta Welfare Foundation Initiates Project KHEL at Government Girls School, Jaipur
Ridipta Welfare Foundation took another step towards the physical and mental development of children by initiating its Project KHEL at Government Girls UPS School, Kartarpura, Jaipur.
As part of the initiative, the Foundation sought permission from the school administration to utilise available open space for developing a small play garden for students. Project KHEL is being implemented under the Foundation's “WE ASSIST (CHILDREN)” programme and focuses on creating play facilities in government schools where access to organised playground infrastructure may be limited.
The proposed play area makes innovative use of reusable materials such as old tyres, drums, ropes and other suitable resources. By transforming these materials into simple outdoor play equipment, the initiative aims to provide children with an engaging environment for physical activity, recreation and social interaction.
Ridipta Welfare Foundation believes that outdoor games and regular physical activities play an important role in the mental, physical and social development of children. Through Project KHEL, the Foundation aims to create accessible play spaces that encourage children to remain active, learn through interaction and enjoy a healthier childhood.
The school administration granted permission for the initiative on 25 August 2020, enabling the Foundation to move forward with the development and maintenance of the proposed play garden.
