In many parts of India, the birth of a girl child is not welcomed. From the moment she arrives, she may face discrimination, humiliation and oppression at different stages of life.
When it comes to healthcare, education and growth opportunities, girls are often neglected because of their gender. Some manage to survive and build new paths, while many surrender to the difficult circumstances assigned to them.
Girl-Child Rights and Protection
The issue of girl-child rights and protection in India remains a serious concern. Ridipta Welfare Foundation supports girls through the Educate a Girl program.
We respect the girls and women of our nation and believe in creating programs that help them receive education, dignity, protection and meaningful opportunities.
The program identifies adolescent girls and women from the community and helps develop them into Change Agents who actively contribute to community mobilization.
